Twin Peaks Is Coming to MUBI — Still Weird, Still Wonderful 35 Years Later

David Lynch's surreal TV masterpiece is coming to MUBI this June — all 48 episodes from the original run and the 2017 revival.

There's weird TV. And then there's Twin Peaks.

To mark the 35th anniversary of its release, MUBI is celebrating one of the most talked-about series in TV history. Starting June 13, the platform will stream all 30 episodes of the original Twin Peaks (1990) and all 18 parts of Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series (2017).

For the uninitiated: Created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, the series follows FBI Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) as he investigates the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) in the eerie small town of Twin Peaks. But the case soon spirals into something far stranger — a haunting blend of mystery, memory, and the supernatural.

Known for its carefully curated arthouse catalog, MUBI is expanding into television with intention. This launch follows other recent additions like Lars von Trier's The Kingdom trilogy and artist William Kentridge’s Self Portrait as a Coffee Pot.

"Launching Twin Peaks alongside Twin Peaks: A Limited Event Series is a dream for MUBI," said Katharina Feistauer, MUBI's VP Global Head of Programming. "The sad news of David Lynch's death only a few weeks ago makes this opportunity to show his iconic work even more special."

Whether you're a longtime Lynch fan or just curious about TV that breaks all the rules, this one's worth watching. MUBI adds its signature touch — no autoplay, no clutter, just bold, artful television ready to be rediscovered.

And if you walk away confused? That’s part of the charm.
