Mission Statement

TalkTeaV is an independent entertainment news blog covering television, film, streaming, and the arts while helping make Bronx culture, organizations, and opportunities easier to discover online.

Through Bronx Pop-News, TalkTeaV highlights community events, local arts, libraries, museums, cultural organizations, and the people helping shape life in the borough. Alongside coverage of television, film, and streaming entertainment, the site works to document and celebrate the creativity that exists both on screen and in our communities.

Whether covering a community event, a local artist, a museum program, or a streaming series, TalkTeaV aims to make entertainment, culture, and community easier to find, understand, and enjoy.

Note: TalkTeaV uses Google AdSense to help support the site. While I have limited control over which ads appear through this program, I actively monitor placements and remove content that I feel is disruptive or inappropriate. I appreciate your patience as I continue working to ensure that all ads align with the tone and values of the site.

About ME

Born and raised in The Bronx, I've worked all over New York City. Throughout that experience, whether it's a classic throwback or the latest streaming obsession, I've seen TV bring complete strangers together. I believe that's the power of entertainment. Some of my favorite conversations have happened at work, in line at the store, or over coffee with someone who just had to talk about last night's episode.

I've always been that guy at work who asks, "Did you watch it?" and with TalkTeaV, I've built a space where those moments matter, and the conversation can continue. A place to revisit iconic characters, celebrate new releases, and connect over the stories that bring us joy, curiosity, and sometimes even comfort.

What started as a way to manage stress and explore writing has grown into something more. Today, TalkTeaV is a space for thoughtful coverage, local pride, and a growing archive of what makes entertainment, culture, and community worth sharing.

About Bronx Pop-News

The mission is always to bring you the best of 'What's Good in The Bronx'.

Bronx Pop-News is TalkTeaV's dedicated space for local stories, grassroots culture, and the creative pulse of The Bronx.
Here, we celebrate the borough's impact on entertainment, amplify community voices, and highlight positive stories often overlooked by mainstream media. From local events to emerging talent, Bronx Pop-News connects the neighborhood to the global conversation.

One thing has become clear through my work and ongoing education: there is a real need to make it easier for people to discover the voices, organizations, and opportunities that already exist in The Bronx.

Along this journey, I've learned that some of the most meaningful stories are right here in the borough. What started as a place to write about television and movies has also become an opportunity to help make the good moments happening in The Bronx more visible.

This section is not about changing the narrative. It is about adding to it. Because The Bronx has always had more to offer than most people know.

Transparency on the Use of AI

AI Use & Editorial Standards

TalkTeaV uses AI-powered writing, editing, and research tools to support content production in a fast-paced digital environment.

Short articles and quick updates are sometimes drafted with AI assistance to help speed up turnaround time on developing news and entertainment stories. Every AI-assisted piece is reviewed, fact-checked, edited, and shaped by a human editor, me, to meet TalkTeaV's editorial standards.

Articles marked with the TalkTeaV icon (used as the author photo in the byline) were created with AI assistance. These are typically short-form news updates intended to keep readers informed about the latest developments. They are reviewed, fact-checked, and edited before publication and follow the same editorial standards as every article on the site.

These tools are part of my workflow, but they do not replace the heart of this work. TalkTeaV is where I practice and refine my work as a writer, researcher, and journalist, and that process continues every day.

AI helps me work more efficiently, but the editorial judgment, tone, fact-checking, and final responsibility behind each article remain human. Every medium and long-form piece is primarily written, edited, and refined by me and reflects my ongoing journalism education and commitment to accurate, ethical reporting.

AI-Generated Images

TalkTeaV uses AI-generated artwork in some cases when original photography or licensed artwork is unavailable. We disclose the use of AI-generated images so readers understand how they were created.

TalkTeaV does not use AI-generated images to depict real people, celebrities, public figures, or news events as though they were authentic photographs.

When AI-generated artwork is used, it is limited to generic illustrations, conceptual artwork, and visual representations created for commentary and illustrative purposes. AI-generated images are clearly labeled so readers understand they are illustrations and not documentary evidence of real events.

Accountability

AI is a tool, not a substitute for editorial responsibility. Regardless of how a story is produced, I remain responsible for the accuracy, fairness, and integrity of everything published on TalkTeaV.

This is not just about efficiency. It is about building something sustainable, ethical, transparent, and reader-first.

TalkTeaV was founded—and still runs—in The Bronx. Thanks for trusting me to keep it real.

Commitment to an Inclusive Community

TalkTeaV is built on the belief that great storytelling should reflect and respect the full diversity of its audience.
This platform is committed to fostering an inclusive community, one where everyone is welcomed, heard, and treated with dignity. Discrimination of any kind has no place here, including but not limited to:

  • Bias based on where someone lives, their age, or a person's socioeconomic background

  • Sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or prejudice of any form

While I'm still learning, TalkTeaV is committed to being a respectful, accessible space where all readers feel seen and valued.

Respect isn't a bonus here; it's the baseline. If an actor, creator, or public figure featured on TalkTeaV is found to be involved in actions or statements that conflict with these values, readers are encouraged to email channelsurfing@talkteav.com. All reports will be reviewed thoughtfully, and decisions made in alignment with TalkTeaV's mission.

By supporting TalkTeaV, you're helping build a space that values kindness, curiosity, and shared respect. That's how we move stories and communities forward.
