This hyper-local focus highlights the vibrant cultural and entertainment scene of the community, offering Bronxites a trusted space to learn about what’s happening in their neighborhood. At the same time, TalkTeaV combats negative stereotypes by showing visitors from around the world who Bronxites are—a community full of creativity, resilience, and heart.

About ME
Born, raised, and still living in The Bronx, I am proud to call this borough and this city my home. I might romanticize my city sometimes, but that's because I truly love it. Even the most frustrating New Yorkers couldn’t make me hate this place.

I’ve always been a hard worker, but over time, the stress took a toll on my mental and physical health and that’s what set me on this journey. TalkTeaV began as a blog that helped me manage my anxieties through writing. Writing, along with watching TV shows, has been a great way to take a break from the doom and gloom. As I learned more about blogging, I began to study writing and journalism, and still take classes for both.
​
I’m not creating a new idea; I just happen to enjoy watching TV shows, writing, and talking about the experience. With TalkTeaV, I plan to preserve and share the timeless tradition of connecting over a cup of coffee or tea while discussing a beloved series. Hopefully, I can offer a space where a one-minute article or a respectfully written review provides a brief escape.
My favorite movie is The Burbs. On weekdays, I’m watching reruns of Star Trek, Spin City, and Married with Children. On weekends, it’s Leverage and Burn Notice. And when I crave a true mental escape, nothing compares to the mysteries and Art Deco charm of Agatha Christie’s Poirot. For more of my favorite reruns: check out my favorite reruns.

And yes, as I get more comfortable with being on the internet, I’ll eventually share an actual photo. To my family, my middle name might as well be "Please Smile More!" I’ll get there, I promise.

Bronx Pop-News is where I, as an aspiring journalist, put my learning into practice while also helping to balance the narrative about the Bronx.
