Apple TV+ released the first trailer for Dope Thief, a high-stakes crime drama from Ridley Scott (Gladiator) and Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta). Based on Dennis Tafoya’s novel, the series follows two Philly friends who impersonate DEA agents to pull off a robbery—only to stumble into a massive narcotics operation. Their small-time scheme spirals into a fight for survival.
Dope Thief debuts March 14, 2025, on Apple TV+, with new episodes dropping on Fridays through April 25.

Academy Award nominee Peter Craig (The Batman) created the eight-episode series, with Scott directing the pilot. Henry leads a powerhouse cast, including Wagner Moura (Narcos), Marin Ireland (The Umbrella Academy), Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek: Prodigy), Nesta Cooper (See), Amir Arison (The Blacklist), and Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible).
