Sherlockians are in for a treat as Prime Video prepares to add a new story to the ever-growing Sherlock Holmes universe with Young Sherlock, directed and executive-produced by Guy Ritchie. Hero Fiennes Tiffin, known for his roles in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and The Woman King, will star as the teenage Sherlock Holmes. The series is based on Andy Lane's acclaimed book series Young Sherlock Holmes and is an action-packed origin story expected to have Ritchie's signature flair.

Young Sherlock follows a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes as he navigates his first major case at Oxford University. Disgraced and unpolished, the young detective is caught up in a murder mystery that threatens his freedom and leads him into a global conspiracy, forever altering his destiny. Tiffin will also appear in the survival sci-fi thriller Above the Below with Idris Elba and the romantic comedy Picture This for Prime Video.

The series executive producers include showrunner Matthew Parkhill (Deep State, Rogue), Simon Kelton (Eddie the Eagle), Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen), Simon Maxwell (The Woman in the Wall), Dhana Gilbert (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Colin Wilson (The Mandalorian), Marc Resteghini, and Harriet Creelman.
