Who would you be if you could be anyone at any time, and how would that affect how you see the world? Imagine discovering you have this superpower just as you enter middle school — that's the premise of Apple TV+'s upcoming series 'Me,' from Barry L. Levy, best known for his work on the 2008 film Vantage Point.

Apple TV+ has released a sneak peek of its new coming-of-age drama with a superhero feel. The live-action, sci-fi series will have 10 episodes and will debut worldwide on Friday, July 12.

Plot: Who is Ben?

In the heart of 'Me' lies Ben Vasani, portrayed by Lucian-River Chauhan (Encounter), a 12-year-old grappling with the challenges of middle school life — bullies, crushes, and the complexities of a blended family. Little does he know, Ben is about to embark on a transformative journey upon discovering his shape-shifting superpowers.

He finds an ally in his stepsister, Max, who helps him harness these powers and uncover the secrets behind the mysteries and tragedies of his community … all while he tries to come to terms with what it means to be Ben.

The Cast:

Along with Chauhan, 'Me' also stars Abigail Pniowsky (Arrival) as Max Davis, Dilshad Vadsaria (Second Chance) as Elizabeth Vasani, Amanda Reid (Miss Juneteenth) as Carter Kennedy, and Jessy Yates (Pulse) as Morgan, with guest stars Kyle Howard (Orange County) as Phil Davis and Sharif Atkins (White Collar) as Darren Kennedy.

Apple TV has been making big moves in the Sci-fi genre lately with original shows such as Silo, Severance, Invasion, Constellation, Dark Matter, and the upcoming series Time Bandits, starring Lisa Kudrow, quickly establishing itself as the go-to for everything Sci-fi.

And with the sci-fi summer in full swing, thanks to the return of shows like House of the Dragon and The Boys, it will be interesting to see how this fresh take from a young cast resonates with fans of the genre.
