Lost Monster Files: New Discovery Series Unlocks 50-Year-Old Files Of Cryptozoologist Ivan Sanderson

For the first time in over 50 years, the mysterious files of famed cryptozoologist Ivan Sanderson are being reopened. Lost Monster Files, premiering Wednesday, October 9 at 10 PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel, delves into the unknown as a team of experts reexamines Sanderson's forgotten case files. From the Abominable Snowman to the Chupacabra, this new series promises to shed light on legendary creatures using modern technology.

• The series: Explores recently uncovered files of Ivan Sanderson, one of the founders of cryptozoology, to reinvestigate his most famous cryptid cases.

• Featured Cryptids: Chupacabra, Abominable Snowman, Kodiak Sea Monster, Wildman of Minnesota, Thunderbird of Pennsylvania, and Ozark Gowrow.

• Expert Team: Includes Charlie Mewshaw (field scientist), Brittany Barbieri (cryptozoologist), Troy Lillie and Justin Igualada (wildlife experts), and Tracy Walder (former CIA officer).

In the premiere episode, the team investigates strange livestock mutilations in North Carolina, potentially tied to the infamous Chupacabra. They use Sanderson’s journals to explore the possibility that this legendary creature is migrating east.
