How To Date Billy Walsh: Prime Video's Rom-Com Film: See Teaser-Get Cast Details & Release Date

The coming-of-age high school film How To Date Billy Walsh, created by Alexander J. Farrell and Greer Ellison, has its long-awaited release date along with a sneak-peek look at the Amazon MGM Studios British original. The premiere is set for April 5th, 2024 on Prime Video. Ellison previously worked on The Bigger Picture, Making A Killing, and Hope Street, while Farrell's credits include Lighthouse Lesvos and Refugee.

Directed by Alex Sanjiv Pillai, known for his work on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Bridgerton, and Riverdale, How To Date Billy Walsh follows teenagers Amelia and Archie, who have been best friends since childhood.

Archie has always been there to fight Amelia’s battles and laugh at her jokes all whilst keeping his lifelong love for her a secret. Just when he builds up the courage to declare his feelings, Amelia falls head over heels for Billy Walsh, the new American transfer student. Heartbroken Archie goes to great lengths to try and keep Amelia and Billy away from each other but ends up pushing them closer together and risks losing his best friend in the process.

The rom-com stars Sebastian Croft (Heartstopper) as Archie, Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton) as Amelia, and Tanner Buchanan (Cobra Kai) as Billy. Additional cast includes Kunal Nayyar (The Big Bang Theory), Nick Frost (Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz), Guz Khan (Army of Thieves, Four Weddings and a Funeral), Lucy Punch (Motherland, Bloods, Avenue 5), and newcomer Daisy Jelley (London Kills).
