Gates' explorations don't stop there. Above the Arctic Circle, he leads a search for the wreckage of a WWII Barracuda bomber, an extinct torpedo bomber designed to take out Nazi warships. In Tanzania, he dives to find Africa’s Atlantis—the lost city of Rhapta, the legendary trading outpost at the edge of the Roman Empire.

In the United States, Josh hunts for treasure stolen by traitors during the American Revolution and tracks the lost loot from our nation’s first train robbers. His quest even spans three continents in search of the stolen bones of St. Nicholas, the real-life inspiration for Santa Claus.

Expedition Unknown's latest season promises to deliver more of the thrilling, globe-trotting adventures that fans love. Tune in to Discovery Channel to follow Josh Gates on his next journey into the unknown.
