Adult Swim: Acclaimed Director Sunghoo Park's Latest Anime Series 'Ninja Kamui' Premiering on Toonami

Betrayal and bloody retribution set the stage for this action drama. Ninja Kamui is an anime series that follows the story of a determined hero seeking revenge. Directed by Sunghoo Park, who is best known for his work on God of High School and Jujutsu Kaisen. Park's anime feature Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is Japan’s 14th highest-grossing Japanese-produced film in history.

A former ninja clan member swears vengeance upon a mysterious shadow organization that killed his wife and son in the new series Ninja Kamui, premiering Saturday, February 10th at midnight on Adult Swim’s famed action anime programming block Toonami.

"Ninja Kamui is a gripping action series about a hero hell-bent on payback. The ninja of old Japan has been reimagined for the near future,” said Park. “I hope fans will enjoy the intense fight scenes and the human drama with unique characters.”

Ninja Kamui will have original character designs crafted by the renowned Takashi Okazaki, the creative mind behind Afro Samurai, and will also feature an original soundtrack by the acclaimed Japanese band Coldrain. The show is produced by E&H production and SOLA Entertainment, who have produced popular shows like MONSTERS 103 Mercies Dragon Damnation, Lord of The Rings: War of The Rohirrim, and Blade Runner: Black Lotus.

New episodes of Ninja Kamui will be available the next day on Max. Additionally, a videogame adaptation of the show titled Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins is set to be released in the spring of 2024.
